What does it do or what is it used for?
The Chao Cellphone is an item the player starts with, if they start the mod with a new character, and can be used to summon the Black Market Chao. The player can also craft the Chao Cellphone at the Tinkerers Workbench.
How can I obtain this item?
You can start the mod with a new character to obtain the Chao Cellphone, purchase the Chao Cellphone from the Black Market Chao (BMC) for 50 gold or craft it at the Tinkerers Workbench with 20 Iron or Lead Bars. This is subject to change.
What's the items history?
For a long time now, I've wanted to add in some kind of item the player can use to spawn in a town NPC. I've wanted to do this specifically because when players play with large content mods like the Calamity mod or other mods that add in a lot of NPCs, Chao Island Mod NPCs tend to not spawn in and make it incredibly difficult for the player to progress. Now that we finally have a Chao Cellphone, I will be making more in the future in hopes that it will help solve that problem.
