Cat Chao are an Uncommon Rank Support Chao. These Chao increase the players movement and jump speed by 20% and they grant auto jump, immunity to fall damage and the danger sense ability.
How to obtain this Chao
You can obtain this Chao by feeding your Chao 10 Tuna, 10 White String, and 20 Goldfish.
Chao Lore and Personality
Cat Chao are extremely playful and lazy Chao that spend their time running around the garden and acting just like a cat does. They sleep for hours, bat around fruit as if it's a toy, scratch and climb up trees, run around and tackle each other and get themselves into all kinds of trouble from their mischievous behavior. Cat Chao like to sleep on their gardeners and very rarely, they'll jump onto their gardeners heads to take a quick nap. These Chao have tiny nails that they use for their daily activities like scratching up trees, climbing, play fighting and more. Their nails aren't sharp enough to leave real cuts, they just sting if they scrape something. These Chao are very good choices for Chao Karate and Chao Racing because they're very limber and mobile which gives them a huge advantage against most Chao. A well taken care of and experienced Cat Chao is unmatched in both Chao Karate and Chao Racing because of this and they're often raised for these activities as well as comfort.
Cat Chao may be very skilled at Chao Racing but they absolutely refuse to swim and they avoid all bodies of water. These Chao are also incredibly lazy so they refuse to study or learn anything at Chao Schools so as a result, these Chao don't know how to read, write, color or draw. Even though they can't read or write, these Chao naturally like to sing at certain times of the season and they're very cute dancers.
Chao History
Cat Chao are based off the Unlucky Yarn Cat pet from Vanilla Terraria.
One day, I was thinking about a new Chao that could join the garden and the thought of a Cat Chao came to me. It was more complicated than I thought originally and it went through around 4 versions before it was completed.
While creating this blog post, it has come to my attention that Cat Chao aren't as modern as they could be and as I type this, I'm planning a complete revamp for them later on into Unlucky Cat Chao, so they more accurately match what they were made after and because Terraria 1.4 added normal cats, which conflicts with this species line of Chao.
